Cathy was born in Warren, Ohio, to Jacob and Marjorie Urchek. Cathy is survived by sister, Diane Coe, and brothers, Mark Urchek, Gary Urchek and Greg Urchek, along with a number of nephews and nieces.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter Moore, sister-in-law Joan Deibel Urchek and brother-in-law, John Coe.
Along with the sadness we find peace and happiness knowing that Cathy will be reunited with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, mom and dad, and all the other family and friends that have passed before her.
Cathy served her country with honor from 1972 to 1978 with the United States Army. She enjoyed a successful career as an x-ray technician with Robinson Memorial Hospital.
Cathy was our eldest sister. She was kind and easy-going, and she shared a sense of humor that seems to have been passed down from our grandma Liptak. Always considering others first by showing compassion and empathy like no other. I can honestly say that I've never seen Cathy mad at anyone. Except for those last few years when health issues left her frustrated, she always tried to maintain her will to live and took great pride in taking care of our mother who also lived in the same ALF (Kent Ridge) up until June of 2022.
On behalf of our family, I would like to thank the entire staff at the Kent Ridge Assisted Living Facility. They gave both mom and Cathy excellent care and were responsible for keeping them healthy and comfortable. We also want to thank the Western Reserve Hospice team for their care and compassion during Cathy's last few days.
The family will be having a private celebration of life.
Rest in Peace our loving sister.
