Charlotte Mae Welling

She was born July 25, 1932, in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Raleigh and Hattie Donelow. Charlotte loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, and attended the Ravenna Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and novels, as well as working on puzzles. Recently, Charlotte moved from Richmond, Virginia, where she lived with her daughter, Annette. Charlotte was a friend to many, and will be remembered for her gentle spirit.

She is survived by her children: Johnny Ray Richardson of West Virginia, Robert Welling of Baltimore, MD, Annette Burris of Dallas, TX, and Nathan Welling of Ravenna, who was her caregiver for the past two months. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Shrewsberry and Martha White of Ravenna; as well as Tracey Bulson and her family of Midlothian, VA; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Robert Welling, her parents, brothers: Sammy Donelow, Gilbert Donelow, and Luther Redden; sisters: Louise Ruff, Ethel Griffith, Shirley Coffman, Wanda Meadows, and Shelia Goodwin.

Friends will be received FRIDAY, November 25, 2011, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, OH 44266. Private burial will take place on a later date at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens in Baltimore, Maryland.
