She was born September 28, 1942, in Brimfield, Ohio, to parents Charles and Betty (Ransford) Sprague. Chris graduated from Kent State University High School and retired as office manager with the Henry Bierce Company in Tallmadge.
Christine was a member of the First Congregational Church UCC of Rootstown. She loved tending to her flower gardens and was a devoted homemaker. Chris also loved music. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and playing the piano and organ. Another of Christine’s passions was making crafts and going to craft sales.
Christine is survived by her beloved fiancé Dana Donohew. Also surviving are her children: Tami (Jeffrey) McDiffitt, Beth (Gerald) Senk, and Scott (Betsy) Heldreth, her siblings: Charles “Chick” (Joann) Sprague, Cathy (Dick Bennett) Steele, and Roy (Bea) Sprague, as well as all of her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Robert Sprague.
Friends and family will be received Monday, November 20, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. A memorial service will be celebrated by Pastor Susan Woodall on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 4:00 PM at the First Congregational Church United Church of Christ Rootstown, 4022 State Route 44, Rootstown. Final resting place will be Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
