Dawn Sue Bellino (nee Crowder), passed away peacefully at her home in Ravenna, Ohio on Wednesday April 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family following a short battle with brain cancer. She was just shy of her seventieth birthday.
Born May 4, 1955 to Dixie and Robert Crowder Sr., she grew up in Deerfield, Ohio as the fourth of five siblings and attended Southeast High School. Following a variety of careers including banking to co-owner and chef for Bellino Foods, she obtained her paralegal degree from Kent State University while working there full-time and went on to work at local law firms and the Portage County Domestic Court.
In the summer of 1977, Dawn met the love of her life, Dominic Bellino, when they both worked at County Savings and Loan Co. in Ravenna, Ohio. She was most proud of the life she built with Dominic and the home she created for them and their two daughters, Angelina and Teresa.
An avid gardener, she was happiest tending to her flower beds and reinvigorating the woodlands behind their home. A perfectionist with many talents, she was also well known for her amazing jams and cookies. Dawn touched many lives with her integrity, kindness of heart, and a smile that would light a room with joy. Her loving spirit will be carried on by her friends and loved ones.
Dawn is survived by her husband Dominic Bellino, daughter Angelina Bellino, brother Robert P. Crowder Jr., sister Marie Wright, brother-in-law Dan (Lory) Bellino, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Teresa Bellino in 2020, parents Dixie and Robert Crowder Sr., brother Michael A. Crowder, sister Juanita L. Wright, and parents-in-law Rocco and Maria Bellino.
The family would like to thank the many friends and family who supported them and Dawn through these last months, particularly her girlfriends Diane Booth, Susan Moore, and Carol Baumann, close family friends Paula Giulitto and Joe Giulitto, Peggy Austin, and her in-laws Dan and Lory Bellino; also, her therapists with U.H. and the Western Reserve Hospice staff.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend William Kraynak on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W Main St., Ravenna. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
