Edith R. Lyons

Edith was born October 12, 1917 in Mantua, Ohio to Anthony and Mary (DiBenedeeto) Chrell. She lived in Orlando, Florida until moving back to this area in 1972. Edith worked as a Sales Associate for Polsky’s in Akron. She loved to go dancing with her friends and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna.

Survivors include her great-nieces: Robin (Patrick) Thompson of Kent, and Penny Hausch of Ravenna and their sons. Edith is also survived by her nieces Marla Jones, of Mentor, Cheryl Albert of San Gabriel, CA. and nephew Donald (Olga) VanAuken of Mantua. Edith is survived also by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Mildred VanAuken, Anna Burkholder, Daisy Knight and her brothers: Girard, Harry and Arthur Chrell.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna from 9:30am until the 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. William Kraynak. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua.
