Pete was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 9, 1931 to parents Ethel (Davis) and George W. Miller, Sr. He enjoyed a long career as an electrician. Pete was a member of the Electricians Union Local #306 and had been retired from Hirsch Electric after 25 years of service. Prior to that, he also partnered with his brother to form Arch City Electric in Columbus. Pete felt privileged to use his talents and construction knowledge for God, working side by side with his son every day during the Portage Community Chapel addition. Pete used every chance to serve God with his skills, volunteering locally at the Center of Hope, doing mission work in Alaska, West Virginia, and anywhere he found opportunity.
Mr. Miller served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War. Pete enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. However, family and faith always came first in his life. Pete was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather.
Pete is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Miller. Surviving also are his children: Mark (Cheryl) Miller, Cheryl (Terry) Cunningham and Tim (Becka) Miller. He also leaves his grandchildren: Lauren (Dan) VanVoorhis, Joslynn, Stephanie and Taylor Cunningham, Nicole (Evan) Garrett, Allison, Andrew and Caleb Miller and Megan, Collin and Kate Miller, as well as his brother Tom (Dee) Miller.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents.
