July 23, 1930 – July 6, 2025
Goldie Marie Modico was deeply loved by her many friends, family members, and local community. She had a lifelong passion for animals and rescue work, and she adored her family—especially her great-grandchildren.
Goldie loved music and dancing, and she was always ready with something silly to say. As those who knew her will fondly remember: “She sure could do a mean jitterbug!”
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, William "Bill" Modico, parents Bertha and Clarance Hench; her sisters and brothers; her nephew; and her beloved son, Joseph.
She is survived by her son, Lex; her daughters, Brenda (Mark Dericco) and Bonnie (Ronald McElhiney); grandchildren Angela and Vinny McElhiney, and Alicia (Joshua Berringer); and great-grandchildren Aiden, Arya-Lee, and Nevaeh.
Cremation has taken place, and the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
