Jack was born September 28, 1933 in Ravenna to the late Eugene and Jessie (Pittman) Hoover. He was a 1951 graduate of Ravenna High School. Jack was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Jack retired from Chrysler Corporation after 30 years of service as a crane operator. He served on the Brady Lake Village Council for many years. Jack also donated his time to the Brady Lake Village Fire Department.
He was a member of the Rockton Lodge #316 F&AM; Jack enjoyed the outdoors, he had pride in taking care of his yard too.
Besides his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his wife, the former Carole Baird; his brothers, Howard and Eugene Hoover; and an infant daughter.
Jack is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jill (Tim) Seale and Terri (Randy) Reed; his grandsons, Jake (Jenna) Correll, Josh Correll, and Adam Reed (Fiancée Hailey Golden); his great granddaughter Ella Correll; sister Jessie Horning; brother Glenn (Donna) Hoover; and special sister-in-law Erma Hoover.
Friends may call 6-8PM Friday, July 22nd at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. in Ravenna. Private Interment in Grandview Cemetery with military honors will follow.
