

Jane was born in Glasgow, Scotland on May 24, 1925 to parents George and Jane Ferguson. Jane was retired from the Ravenna School System where she was a longtime cashier in the cafeteria of Brown Middle School. She was a Methodist by faith and also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Jane enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. She was a very funny lady who always kept people laughing. Jane loved her grandchildren and all of their activities.
Jane is survived by her children: Ricky B. Speck, Heather J. (Frederick) Fabry and Jay (Marlene) Speck. Surviving also are her grandchildren: Randy Speck, Hannah Speck, Brent (Jessica) Fabry, Paul (Candice) Fabry, Sean (Tricia) Speck and Kyle Speck. She also leaves five great-grandchildren and her special friends: Pam Speck and Margaret Lach who were so caring and helpful.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernard “Barney” Speck, her son, George E. Speck, and her sister, Mary “May” Lambert.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 10, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. memorial service officiated by Pastor David Ballert at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be Grandview Memorial Park.
