Jean Soldorfen Roman

She was born January 6, 1920, in Bedford, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Marta (Barbat) Soldorfen. Jean worked for many years as a produce clerk at Sparkle Market in Streetsboro. She enjoyed gardening, music, and cross word puzzles. A beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, most of all, Jean enjoyed the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children: Susan (Merv) Tierney of Randolph, David (Dianne) Roman of Windham, and Debbie (Dennis) Kline of Cuyahoga Falls. Jean is also survived by her sisters: Betty Gloden, Helen Vavra, Irene Bower, and Martha Soldorfen, as well as her 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Nick Roman, daughter Jeanne Stafford, sisters: Mary Wolner, Sophie Santovin, and Ann Riera, and her brothers John and George Soldorfen.

Friends will be received Thursday, August 9, 2012, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service officiated by Reverend Robert E. Linsz at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
