

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was proud to have served his country.
Jerry worked for many years at General Electric Lamp Plant in Ravenna, Ohio before retiring. However, after a year, Jerry grew restless and returned to work, being employed at Sunrise Springs Water followed by East Manufacturing.
He enjoyed spending time with his family at the beach, vacationing, fishing, in nature, fixing things, riding his motorcycle, cooking out, and watching TV. Jerry attended the Friendship Bible Church in Randolph, Ohio where he enjoyed assembling the children shoebox packages for Operation Christmas Child.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda McKitrick; son, Jerry E. McKitrick Jr of North Canton, OH; two daughters, Jennifer Yao (Andy) of Amarillo, TX, and Jeanette Livengood (Steve) of Mentor, OH. He is also survived by his grandchildren Amanda McKitrick, Bryan McKitrick (Briana), Kent Yao, Lindsay-Ann Yao, Payton Yao, Samantha Longo (Dominic), and Brayden Livengood and three great grandchildren, Adrien, Julien, and Briella. As well as his brother, Jim McKitrick (Kay) and sister-in-law Jean McKitrick amongst many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandson, Gavin Livengood, his parents, brothers Daniel McKitrick and Larry McKitrick, and sister, Sandra McKitrick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Operation Christmas Child c/o the Friendship Bible Church in Randolph, Ohio.
Family will receive friends at the Friendship Bible Church, 1703 St. Rt. 44, Randolph, Ohio on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Services, officiated by Pastor Phil Ross, will begin at 1:00 PM.
