Jimmie E. Dent

Jimmie was born in Ravenna, Ohio on May 6, 1942 to parents Ernest and Alta (Willoughby) Dent. He had been a machine operator for Schneller Co. and was retired after many years of service. Jimmie was a huge Cleveland Browns fan and loved to grill, always cooking for everyone. His family was most important to him.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorsie Dent and his children: Mark Dent, Nita McEwen and Anna Creque. Surviving also are his grandchildren: Tonyna Dent, Marc (Crystal) Dent, Tara Creque, Vincent Creque, Isaiah McEwen and 3 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother Jerry (Marilyn) Dent and his sister-in-law Minnie Woods.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jackie Wilkerson.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 5:30pm until 6:30pm when the Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Kathy Mitchell, will begin at 6:30pm.
