John A. Chell

John Alan Chell, age 60, passed away on November 13, 2025, at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, after complications from a fall. John was born in Ravenna, Ohio, on November 4, 1965, to Gary and Kathleen Chell.

He was a lifelong resident of Ravenna and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1984. He worked as a machine operator for most of his career. John enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard, watching all sports, and cooking for his family.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Julie Ninni.

John is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 34 years, Anna (Trocchio) Chell, his sons John (Haleigh Carson) Chell and Dominic Chell; and his daughter and son-in-law Sydney and Beldwin Perez, his sister, Elizabeth (Jerry Bell) Chell, his niece, Amanda (Murray Kimbrought) Wilson, and his great-niece and great-nephews, Devin, Carter, and Kainan who will never forget the love he brought to their lives.

John is also survived by his uncle and aunt, Ron and Shirley Chell, and his brothers and sisters-in-law David Ninni, Christopher (Renee) Trocchio, Angela (Michael) Kohl and Andrea (Stephen) Colecchi. His memory will also be cherished by his many loving Trocchio, Kohl and Colecchi nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.

The family would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to the Cardiac Thoracic Intensive Care Unit at UH Cleveland Medical Center.

Memorial donations in John’s name can be made to the Cardiac Thoracic Intensive Care Unit at UH Cleveland Medical Center or Wounded Warriors.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.
