My deepest sympathy to John's family.  I am so I was out of town when he passed and subsequent service.  John will always have a special place in my heart.  He was and will always be one of my favorites.  There is a special place in heaven for this kind and caring person.

Please accept our deepest sympathies.  We came to know John when he resided at The Loyalton.  He always had a friendly smile and a kind word for everyone.  For the past few months, he and my father have been roommates.  We couldn't have wished for a more pleasant person for my dad to share a room with.  Up until the last day we saw him, he had that twinkle in his eye and was making jokes.  We pray that God comforts all of your family during this time of grief - he surely blessed you with a wonderful patriarch.

My deepest sympathy to the family.  Uncle Johnny will be greatly missed.  His legacy of public service and giving to others is an inspiration to me.  I will always treasure the memories of he and my grandpa "Mike (his brother)."

Bennie, Guy, and Family...Our love, our prayers, and our thoughts are with you always. Uncle John was such a great uncle and a great man. He, as well as my Mother,his sister, Virginia Tontimonia Dean, his brothers, my Uncle Mike Tontimonia and my Uncle Sunday Tontimonia, and his parents, my grandparents Guy and Grace Tontimonia, have made me very proud and humbled to be a part of the Tontimonia lineage. Uncle John had a special sense of humor and a way of making my Mom and I (along with many others!) laugh and laugh on numerous occasions. He was such a caring man in many ways. Good-bye Uncle John-you may be gone from our
sight, but like the rest of the Tontimonia family who has passed on before you, you are never gone from our hearts. We love you!

Your father/grandfather was such a fine gentleman and without a doubt, the finest councilman I had the privilege to work with....he truly cared for the people of Ravenna. Your dad & uncle John was one of the most wonderful men I have ever known..when i moved up from florida 5 years ago and went to work at the Loyalton it was John that took me under his wings and welcomed me to this community..we would sit and talk for hours about the history of ravenna..he had so much fun with Barb at our car shows too..& will never forget how humble he was when they named the park after him and wanted him to be in the parade..his comment was "I don't know what the big deal is I'm nobody" how wrong that statement was for he was an awesome great man...that will be missed so much...Lisa Little

My sincerest sympathy to John's family.  He was a true gentleman and friend who always made you smile.  My mother, Virginia Flinn, and I attended the same Sunday mass that John and his good friend Barb did.  We often went for coffee afterwards to talk, and many times I would listen while John and my mother reminisced about their high school days at Ravenna High.  My mother graduated with John's wife Judy.  He will be greatly missed.
