Joyce Charlene McKenzie

Joyce was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on September 17, 1951 to parents Darrell E. and Julia A. Cheuvront. Joyce was retired from General Electric in Ravenna. She had been a member of the American Legion Post 737 in Lake Milton, the Newton Falls AMVETS Post 112 and the Wayland Community Church. Joyce was a very active lady and always on the go. She enjoyed gambling and working outside in her yard. Joyce loved clothes and enjoyed shopping and loved her dog “Sam”.

Joyce is survived by her son Wallace Eric (Rebecca) McKenzie and her daughter Holly McKenzie-Janic. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Tiffany E. McKenzie, Wallace Sam McKenzie and James K. McKenzie. Left also to cherish her memory is her mother Julia A. Cheuvront, her siblings: Darrell (Jane) Cheuvront and Sharon (Carl) Dantone, brother-in-law Leonard Woolard, special “grandma sitter” Bradly J. McKenzie and many other loving nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father and her sister Julia Diane Woolard.

Friends will be received on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 24th. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp.
