Virginia, My thoughts and prayers for you and your family. Although I never got to meet Leonard, with all our workouts together, I always felt like I had.  He was an amazing person.

My prayers are with your family.  I met Len at the Downtown Akron Toastmasters.  He was my mentor and inspiration.  I was Blessed to have known Len.  Hey Len, my butterflies are in formation!

I met Len when I was a new employee at Lawyers Title and he was with Minnesota Title.  He graciously invited me to join Downtown Toastmasters and we shared an enthusiasm for public speaking and the longtime friendships cultivated there.  I lost my father 3/3/11, who was also named Leonard, so I am keenly aware of your loss.  Please accept my condolences.  I hope you find comfort in the warm memories Len left with us.

To the Leonard McKay Family, I worked with Leonard 30 some years ago at Minesota Title. When I became pregnant I was had to quit work do to some minor complications. I had to call work to let them know I was not coming back. Crying when I called, Leonard answered the phone, I will neve forget his words, "Well Janie, we were all that little blob at one time and if our mothers didn't care of us,we wouldn't be here." How could you not burst out laughting? I still tell that story. Thank you Leonard. My condolences to the McKay family.

The very long line at Len's calling hours was truly a testament to the fact that Len touched so many people.  I was one of those people.  I was a member of Toastmaster's with Len.  He welcomed me and encouraged me and most certainly touched me with his big heart.  I am very sorry for your loss...it is great indeed and a loss to many. One of the things I appreciated most about Leonard was his ability to always "look on the lighter side" of life.  I always enjoyed his interaction with all us "old folks" in the Sunday School class at The Chapel - he was such a bright spot in my day.  I will be praying for your family as you have moments of loneliness for him that your memories will fill in the gaps.

Just last year Len made sure that my son received a pair of glasses from the Lions Club. My 5 year old son went to thank Len and got a picture with him in the Record Courier. I cannot even begin to tell you what those glasses have meant to my son. Len was a good, caring man that made a difference in his community. God could certainly bless us with more men like him. God Bless him and keep him. My prayers are with your family. There is no question where Len is and heaven is blessed with a new angel!

Just want to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers.  I have many fond memories of Len.  He was a Randolph icon...  He was also a good friend and real estate advisor.  May God grant you the peace in knowing that Len is now home and at know telling jokes in heaven.

Leonard was a strong, caring person. I first met him in Portage County when I started in the title business in 1963. When I opened my office for Midland Title in Medina, I kept his card under the glass on my desk as security in case I had a problem I couldn't solve. I worked for him in Akron before that and really learned the title business at that time. I will look forward to seeing him in heaven. God's blessings to his family.

Sorry for your loss. It is sad when you lose a parent.

I met Len through the Akron Executives' Association and always loved and respected him.  I especially loved when he spoke on the history of the area and title searching.  What a great guy!  He will be missed.

My sympathy to Len's family and friends.   I will fondly remember his stories, humor and love of the real estate title business.  It was my pleasure to teach a class on title examining with him at a local community college and I too learned from him (ex. surveyor with the missing link!)  He will be missed.

Len was a very special person. I will always remember his warm, genuine welcome when I joined the Akron Toastmasters Club. His faith in God was always evident. God has a special mansion for such a wonderful man!

I looked to Len as a mentor and model during my time at Toastmasters. He was gracious, kind, funny, charming, warm and approachable. His speeches were rich with imagery and humor. I always looked forward to seeing and hearing him speak at our meetings. Please accept my dearest sympathy for your loss. I will remember him fondly.

Len used to carry this little notebook and take it out when he wanted to tell a certain joke. He loved telling jokes and I will always remember him for his laugh and dedication to his job. To the McKay family I send my condolences.

In my many years of public life I knew Leonard as a kind, committed, patient, gentleman of a public servant. He was always friendly and happy to see you. He never missed an opportunity to see the good side of every situation and every individual. I will miss his infectious smile as well as his considerate yet strong approach in challenging situations. He was as hard working as he was kind and well loved by all who knew him.
