

Lincoln (Link) was born in Akron, Ohio on February 12, 1940 to parents Robert and Ruth Marie Rickenbacker. Link worked for many years in construction with the Bernard’s Construction Company. He founded and operated Ace Drain Service for many years. He was a certified welder. Link was truly a jack-of-all-trades and used those skills to help anyone who needed him. In retirement, he enjoyed flea marketing, and cherished his time with Barb building their home and mini-farm while raising many pets.
Link was a member of St. Peter of the Fields Catholic Church in Rootstown and a founding member of the Brimfield Young At Hearts Club. He will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends.
Link is survived by his wife of 39 years Barbara (Gross) Rickenbacker, children Ed Rickenbacker, Christina Westover and their mother Dolly Rickenbacker; grandchildren Jason, Logan and Trent Rickenbacker, Trevor and Cole Westover, Ashton Warman, Abbigail and Emily Rickenbacker. He also leaves to morn him brother James Rickenbacker (Tennessee), sisters Doris Bunn and Patsy Wilson of Akron; brothers and sisters- in- law; Pat and Paul Cipar, Linda and Tim Haney, Jim and Robin Gross, Mary Linn and Rick Linn. Missing him; his furry pal Jack the Yorkie. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
Link was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Tom and Ron Rickenbacker, sons Dale Lynn and David Rickenbacker; brothers-in-law Frank Bunn and John Gross, sister-in-law Jean Rickenbacker; special niece Dawn Bunn; father and mother- in- law, Richard and Narita Linn.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass and celebration of Link’s life will be at held at a later date when we can all gather safely at St. Peter of the Fields Catholic Church, 3487 Old Forge Road, Rootstown.
