Lois Gayle Weaver Hoffman

Lois was born on September 6, 1938 in Grand Rapids, Ohio to Gail and Mildred Weaver. Lois was retired as office manager for Dr. Robert Sybert. She also worked in retirement at DeLuca and Associates. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, RMH Auxiliary and Business Professional Women of Portage County. Lois was also the founder and charter member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church Women’s Golf League. Lois enjoyed golfing with her friends and loved to read. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for family functions but most of all her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Lois is survived by her daughters: Cynthia (David) Horsky and Suzanne Werman. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren: Carrie Jo & Anna Marie Horsky and Allyson Gayle & Marcus Eldon Werman. Surviving also are her sisters: Margie Eckhardt and Kerry Stuart and her brothers: Dan (Connie) Weaver and Asher (Sandra) Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Kish and her husband, Eldon L. Hoffman.

Friends will be received Monday, August 8, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Funeral services officiated by Pastor Daniel J. Caruso will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 170 N. Freedom St., Ravenna. Cremation will take place and inurnment at Hockman Cemetery in McClure, Ohio will occur at a later date.
