She was born January 4th, 1956, in Midvale, Ohio to parents Kenneth J. Galloway and Anne Marie (O’Hare). Loretta was one of 15 children and was beloved by all that knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of artistry, bounties of love and unmatched sweetness.
Loretta was a floral designer for most of her life, and she took deep pride in her art, where she worked at Vale Edge Florist for many years. She was a cherished floral designer, devoted homemaker, and nurturing mother whose creativity bloomed in her arrangements, her home, her flower garden, and the hearts of her children.
Loretta’s family meant more to her than anything else. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as all her brothers and sisters more than anything on this earth.
Her children often referred to her as MacGyver for she had the talent of fixing just about anything with piece of gum and a toothpick. She had the ability to improvise, fix, and restore anything on the fly. She possessed the rare gift of transposing the ordinary into the extraordinary, infusing beauty into every aspect of life.
Loretta exemplified unwavering devotion to God and Jesus Christ, placing her faith above all else as a guiding light in her life.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Robert Ruf, daughters Layla Cipriano, Lorie (Anthony) Angey, Jamie Rice and son Michael (Matthew) Rice-Cohlmia, in addition to seven grandchildren, Cailee, Jason, Hannah, Christian, Emilee, Julia, Scarlette and one great granddaughter Gia. She is also survived by sisters, Kathy, Mary, Colleen, Claudia, Barbara, Nancy, Jeannette and brothers Harry and Kenny.
