Marilyn P. Nicholson Tisher

She was born August 3, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, to parents B.B. Nicholson and Mabel (Zinn) Nicholson. Marilyn was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, and caring mother. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna as well as the Rebekah Lodge. Marilyn enjoyed crafts and was known for her scrapbooking and gift card making. She also enjoyed reading, traveling, photography, quilting, and sewing.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Russell R. Tisher, her children Debbie Kuss and Kurt (Roxann) Evelsizer, step-children Kathy (Gary) Spiker and Keith Tisher, and sister-in-law Susan Knittle. Her memory will also be cherished by all of her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Brenda Fausnight, and her son Brian Evelsizer.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna, with a memorial service officiated by Pastor Stephen T. Sparling immediately following at 6:00 PM. Private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery.
