

She was born January 8, 1930, in Albany, Minnesota, to parents Christian and Christina (Schlepenbach) Fuchs. Marion was Catholic in faith and we had a Priest over for dinner every once in a while. She was a strong woman who loved her family. She had 6 kids by age 25. Marion was a great entertainer and cook. Marion played the organ and loved to sing. She had a beautiful voice. She always celebrated our birthdays and Holidays. Marion had many best friends. She lived out her senior years in Salem, Ohio with her son Daniel Caspersen.
Marion worked as a nurse in a convalescent home and also as a switchboard operator for Best Products. She enjoyed playing cards, especially canasta.
Marion is survived by her children: Dawnette Louise Lowry, Christine Don Ramirez, Tracy (Frexeny) Caspersen, Daniel Caspersen, and Peter (Magaly) Caspersen. Her memory will also be cherished by her 11 grandchildren: Max (Brandi) Ramirez, Steven Rocco Ramirez, Shree' (Brian) Caspersen Whitney, Daniel Caspersen Jr., Miranda Caspersen, Jennette (Mike) Caspersen Fletcher, Dylan Caspersen, Kimberly Caspersen, Natalie (Barrett) Lowry Lambert, Kelly Caspersen Sallisbury, and Breanna Caspersen Sallisbury. Marion also had many great-grandchildren and a handful of great-great grandchildren.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernie Otterness, her son Frederick Robert Caspersen, her sisters: Lorraine Terry, Lou Atwood, Ilene Terry, Jan Derry, and her brother Peter Fuchs.
