Mark Stephen Sanders

He was born January 16, 1954, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph R. and Elizabeth A. (Knoch) Sanders, Sr. Mark had been a truck driver for 27 years and went by the CB handle “Red Neck.” He loved animals and western movies. Mark enjoyed working with leather and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with his granddaughter Lauren.

Survivors include his children: Claudette Layla Sanders of Brimfield and Chad Everett (Heidi) Sanders of Suffield; siblings: Dennis (Anna) Sanders, Rebecca Kato, Matthew Sanders, Kathleen (Jerry) Fritz, Joseph Sanders Jr., Francis (Becky) Sanders, Rosalie (Dale) Fejedelem, Bridget Sanders, Janine Sanders, Bernadette Sanders, Philip (Micheline) Sanders, Marguerite (Paul) Amonett, and Mary Boyd; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gregory Michael Sanders.

Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received on Thursday, January 6, 2011, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Reverend David Misbrener at St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Rd., Rootstown. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery.
