

She was born May 3, 1928, in Southern Pines, North Carolina, to parents Joseph H. and Mary Effie (Hewitt) Gajdos. Mary was the Salutatorian of her Ravenna Township High School class. She worked as a typesetter for the Record Courier for over 45 years, and was a member of the First Christian Church of Ravenna.
Bee was an original tomboy. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, and used to work on her own cars. Mary was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and also rooted for the Browns. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to flea markets, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steve M. Gray, her sisters Elizabeth Gajdos, Josephine Searle, Judy Jones, her brother Tom Gajdos, and her great-granddaughter Zoie Keyes.
She is survived by her sister Linda (Fred) Lauck, her grandchildren: Crystal Higgins, Silver (Ty Keyes) Gray, and Bill Gray, along with her great-grandchildren: Autumn and Brandon Keyes, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday, January 14, 2016, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with Reverend Laurie Metzko officiating the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
