Mary T. Brown Weinhart

She was born December 15, 1917, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Hugo and Katherine (Rodenbucher) Brown. On February 3, 1940, she married her sweetheart Frank A. Weinhart. The couple made their home in Randolph and raised their four daughters Carolyn, Barbara, Judy, and Delores.

Mary was a devoted member of St. Joseph Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading and gardening, and was a member of the Randolph Garden Club. Mary retired from the US Postal Service and also worked as a nanny and housekeeper, and at BF Goodrich during WWII.

She is survived by her children: Carolyn (Dan Tomsho) Adelman of Canton, Barbara (Jim) Murphy of Randolph, Judy Smith of Colorado, Delores Paquette of Tallmadge; sisters: Ann Troyer of Randolph, Helen (Tony) Heppe of Randolph; sisters-in-law: Rita Brown of Randolph and Rose Marie Goodhart of Rittman. Mary also leaves her beloved grandchildren to cherish her memory: Chris (Darlene) Adelman, Carin (John) Luli, Curt (Linda) Adelman, Craig Adelman, Traci Durisko, Jason (Kim) Murphy, Marcy Murphy, Holly (fiancé Ryan Sander) Murphy, Karl Brian (Robin) Gregory, Angela (Marc) DiGiacomo, and Daniel (Theresa) Paquette; as well as 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. Weinhart, her siblings Catherine Bormet and John Brown; brothers-in-law: Joseph Bormet and Frank Troyer; and her sons-in-law: Sonny Adelman, Lindsey Smith, and Leonard Paquette.

Friends will be received Thursday, May 5, 2011, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Reverend Ed Wieczorek and Reverend Robert Pfeiffer at 12:00 PM on Friday at St. Joseph Church in Randolph with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
