She was born December 28, 1943, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents George and Hazel (Wagner) Butler. Nancy retired from the GE Lamp Plant in Ravenna after many years of employment. She made lifelong friends at GE and cherished them until her passing.
Nancy loved Tweety Bird. She had an extensive collection of Tweety Bird items, a yellow, Chevy SSR truck with Tweety Bird decals, and the license plate TWTYBRD. She even had a tattoo of Tweety Bird and the Eiffel Tower on her leg that she got while visiting Paris.
Nancy also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She always looked forward to meeting her friends for tea and great conversations at Bob Evans as well. Nancy was also a huge Cleveland Indians fan, especially Sandy Alomar. She never missed a game or a chance to cheer them on.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Melissa Mentzer-Henninge and Teddy Henninge, her step-children: Tammy McKenna, Pam Mentzer, and Keith (Mary) Mentzer, and her step-granddaughter Stephanie Mentzer.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: JoAnn Cebulski, George Butler, and Barbara Flynt.
Her wishes for cremation are being honored, and she will be laid to rest at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. A private service will be held.
