Nora Lee Loomis

Nora was born in Dille, West Virginia on December 2, 1929 to parents John and Clara (Walker) Tinnel. Nora had worked at Kent State University before retiring. She was a member of the Maplewood Christian Church in Ravenna. Her most treasured time was spent with her five great grandchildren.

Nora is survived by her daughter Martha “Marti” Chandler. Surviving also are her grandchildren: Jennifer Chandler and Melissa Staggs. She also leaves five great-grandchildren Sara, Emilee, Gracie, Kylee, Brayden and her sister Sarah King of Lewiston, Maine.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence Loomis, her brother Melvin and her sisters Marie and Annabell.

Private family services will be held at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral home in Ravenna then cremation will take place. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Lawrence at Grandview Memorial Park at a later date.

Nora’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone from UH Portage Medical Center and Burton Healthcare Center they were very kind and caring to Nora and ourselves.
