

Mr. Kaluba was a United States Army veteran, serving in Germany.
He was a former Mayor of Willowick, Ohio. Also serving as Councilman and President of Council for 22 years. He worked for General Electric in Cleveland as a chemical technician. He also served many years in the Lake County Auditor’s Office.
As Mayor of Willowick, Mr. Kaluba was most proud of buying lake front property, where he built a Municipal Center that replaced City Hall. The new Municipal Building also became home to the fire and police departments. The land adjoining became Lake Front Park which was Willowick’s first public access to the lake. He also established a full-time fire department, EMS and ambulance service for the city.
He was a member of St Joseph’s Church in Mantua and St Ann’s Catholic Church of Burleson, Tx.
He is survived by daughters, Catherine (Dennis) Atkins and Judith Hadzinsky both of Chillicothe, Ohio, and son, Thomas Kaluba of Burleson, Texas. Grandchildren, Keenan (Jen ) Rogers, Nathan and Rachelle Rogers, Brock Atkins, Kimiya Kaluba, Adam Kaluba and Abigail (William) Meaders. Great-grandchildren: Natalie Hadzinsky-Klouda, Kylie, Kathryn and Kinley Atkins, Elena and Micah Luckett and Elijah Rogers, as well as his sister-in-law, Sr. Marlene Boden and brother-in-law, Larry (Jane) Boden.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years Louise (Boden) Kaluba, whom he married on June 29, 1957. His daughters Mary Michelle (Mickey) Kaluba and Cynthia Kaluba; grandsons, Andrew and Jeffrey Hadzinsky, brothers, Ted, Steve and John, and his sister, Henrietta Klein.
Services will be announced soon. Inurnment will be in Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua, Ohio.
