It was my greatest pleasue to have been Bob's best friend in the last several years of his life. One will rarely find such a fine man who cared so much for his family, community, and friends. He will be missed forever.

I know your father was a great man and also he was my best buddy all through grade and high school, we were team mates in all sporting events at Rootstown and I was his neighbor in New Milford. Unfortunately I moved right after graduating from Rootstown and traveled a lot and did not get to see him or his family very often. I will remember him forever as my first friend and scool buddy

So sorry for the loss of Mr. Dunn. He was my principal at Rootstown and even though we disagreed at times, I had the greatest respect for him. he will be greatly missed.

My condolences to all the members of the Dunn family. I grew up with them in New Milford and played ball for Bob in several sports. He was much more than a coach, but that's the way I will always remember him.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies for your loss.  Having read of his accomplishments and extraordinary career it is obvious he will be greatly missed by many.  My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

To Nick Kazaglis and Katie Marcello,and to the rest of the Dunn family:  I was saddened to learn of the passing of your grandfather.  I found him to be such a genuine, and down to earth person.  He truly cared about the staff and students with whom he worked.  He was so approachable as an administrator.  It was truly an honor to have him come to visit our room when you were in fourth grade on Grandparents Day.  I know how sad you must be to lose him, but I hope that you can take comfort in the fact that he was loved and respected by so many. So very sorry for your loss. Though I didn't know your father well I know he was successful, respected and well loved.  His greatest legacy is the beautiful family he created with your adorable mother. I miss all the fun times with you girls.

To all of the Dunn family my prayers and sympathy. Mr. Dunn was respected for many years in Rootstown as I was growing up and always there for our community. Though I do not live in Portage County anymore, it was wonderful to see his legacy in the Beacon Journal today, 7/4. What a great man. May all the great memories he has left behind comfort you.

Dearest Laura & George, Robin, Barb & Don, Bobby and Becky: Dan & I are sorry for the loss of your beloved father. We wish we could be there with you to support you in this difficult time. Please know our hearts and prayers are with you.  

Dan and I have special memories of fun times with the Dunn family, especially at vacation time. I remember one time when everyone was at Disney World and your Dad and I were sitting at a table outside of one of the Disney hotels at breakfast waiting for all the children and their spouses and the grandkids to arrive. Of course getting a family this large together in one spot on time is much like hearding cats! Your Dad turned to me and said, "Judy, when did I lose control of this family?"'  I will never forget those times and will remember your Dad fondly. He was a great man! Love to you all.

To Bob's Family,
Bob enjoyed much success in his career and was well-respected in his community.  Over the years, his ready smile, his hardy laugh, and his gift of gab easily put those around him at ease. I was in high school when we made the championships run.  It was great being in band and pep band because we got to see the coaching of Mr. Dunn after which we had tremndous celebrations. 
  I took over his classes on Senior Day and he gave me a helping hand by hiring me to my fourth grade classroom where I stayed 30 years. 
    Bob always had an encouraging word when you met me at school and out in public.  He was a gentleman who loved his community.
  We will really miss his winning ways in dealing with people and his Rootstownites.

   I knew Mr. Dunn through my career in education and my time as a high school counselor at Rootstown H.S. He always impressed me with his honesty and genuine approach with people. My deepest sympathies to his family.
