

Robert was born on June 6, 1928 to parents Royce and Arlene Sabin in Akron, Ohio. He had enjoyed a long career at Chrysler Corporation and retired from there at the age of 62. Bob loved bowling and participated in several leagues at Twin Star lanes, bowling several days a week at times. He was a dedicated humanitarian with the Rootstown Lions Club. Bob joined the club as a charter member in 1956. He had served as president and since 2002 chaired the sight committee. Bob was honored by being given the Melvin Jones Fellowship. This honor is the highest form of recognition to acknowledge an individual’s dedication to humanitarian service.
Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjory, and his daughters: Debbie (Duane) Severt and Cathy (Jerry) Baniecki. Surviving also are grandchildren: Chris (Christine) Baniecki, Daniel Baniecki, Kim Baniecki, Amanda (Anthony) Smith-Combs and Megan Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughters: Sandy Smith and Judy Tatman.

No services are scheduled and a private family inurnment at Homeland Cemetery will take place at a later date.
