He was born April 1, 1927, in Dennison, Ohio, the youngest of ten children to James and Carrie (Howell) Waggoner. Bob lived up to his April Fools Birthday with a terrific sense of humor. He was also a very caring person, having volunteered with Haven of Rest, as well as prison ministry.
Bob proudly served his country in WWII as a member of the US Army, and he later enlisted with the Air Force. Bob was a mechanic, starting his career with Lynman Chevrolet in Kent, and then retiring from the Waterloo School District bus garage. As a mechanic, Bob had a natural curiosity and commitment to always be tinkering or working on something.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years Carol (Plaskonka) Waggoner, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
Friends will be received Friday, January 16, 2015, from 12:30 PM until the 1:00 PM funeral service officiated by Pastor Bill Johnson at the Grandview Memorial Park Chapel, 5400 Lakewood Rd., Ravenna, with full military honors.
