Roland D. Caldwell

He was born in Erie, PA. on March 27, 1935. His parents were Frank and Violet Caldwell. Roland was one of four children.

He will be greatly missed by his two children Scott Caldwell (Ravenna, Ohio) and Starlite Morrison (Akron, Ohio). He took great joy and love for his grandchildren, Ashlee Bozile married to Josh Bozile (Akron, Ohio), Autumn and Brandon Howell of (Naples, Florida), Frankie Caldwell (Naples, Florida), and Erica Depasqual married to Phil Dexheimer (Cincinnati, Ohio). Surviving also are great grandchildren Makala and Jared Brown (Ravenna, Ohio), Alessandra Tercero-Smoot (Naples, Florida), Stephen Dexheimer (Cincinnati, Ohio), Savannah, Athena, and Ronan Howell (Naples, FL) and Logan and Jackson Bozile (Akron, Ohio).

He never missed a child, grandchild or great grandchildren birthday, holiday, and get well soon card. He always wanted to put a smile on everyone’s face that would come across his path from walking down an aisle at Giant Eagle to walking down the street to get the mail.

He served in the U.S. Army from January 21, 1958, to December 31, 1959, and five months later married Audrey Vogel. That’s where their story began.

Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 12pm until the funeral service, officiate by Stacey Brown, beginning at 1pm. Interment with full military honors will immediately follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
