Rosa Marie (Woodard) Wagner

She was born August 26, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, to parents Paul E. Wagner and Alma Marie Klinginsmith. Rosa graduated from Central Hower High School in Akron. Rosa loved spending time with her family and cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren.

She was an active member of New Testament Baptist Church. She will be remembered for decades of service in children’s ministry there and at Liberty Bible Church. She was known as “Mama Rosa” to members of her church, family, and friends.

Rosa was a loving mother and proud grandmother. She is survived by her children: Paul (April) Woodard, Shelly (Jack) Kline, and Teresa (Ron) Mizner; as well as her grandchildren: Haley, Brittany, Lindsey, Alana, Ricky, Savannah, Kilee, and Matt. Rosa is also survived by her step-mother: Rosella Wagner, her sister Brenda (Jeff) Niday, and her step-siblings: William (Lisa) Klinginsmith Jr., Debbie (Bob) Wilson, and Jeffrey (Cathy) Klinginsmith, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Rosa was preceded in death by her father Paul E. Wagner, her mother Alma Marie Klinginsmith, her step-father Bill Klinginsmith, and her sisters Paulette Edge, Barbara Wagner, Deborah Wagner, and brother Paul Wagner Jr.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the New Testament Baptist Church, where funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bob Burgess on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Atwater Cemetery.
