

He was born November 27, 1931, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Sylvester and Josephine (Burkey) Tisher. Russ was one of the 49’ers, having graduated from Ravenna Township High School in 1949. He went on to proudly serve with the US Army in the Korean War.
Russ was a kind, caring, and loving man. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna and the Ravenna Lions Club. Russ enjoyed driving his Model T vehicle around town and also in many parades.
Russ is survived by his children Keith Tisher of Ogden, UT and Kathy (Gary) Spiker of Rootstown, grandchildren Lindsay Spiker and Troy Spiker, as well as his great-grandson Bryson Spiker.
Russ was preceded in death by his siblings Norman (Phyllis) Tisher, Warren (Susan) Tisher, and Eunice (Harry) Hill, and his wife Marilyn Tisher.
Russ’ wishes for cremation are being honored and he will be laid to rest with a private family service at Maple Grove Cemetery.
