Sally Ann Viall

Sally was born to parents Bernard and Helen (Frank) Ashcraft in Ravenna, Ohio on October 31, 1935. Known by many kids and parents, Sally drove a school bus for over 28 years for the Ravenna City School District. She started after raising her own children and loved every minute of it. She also worked hard alongside her late husband Wayne at the family farm “Way-Sal” on Infirmary Rd. When she was younger, she bowled in leagues and always had a love for the Oakridge Boys.

She enjoyed attending Ravenna School sports events and band programs. She loved going to the Portage County Fair in Randolph and showing cattle from the family farm. Most of all she love her family, especially visits with her grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her children Susan (Darrell) Barnette, James (Mary Kay) Viall and Joan (Henry) Bohnert. Her beloved grandchildren Michael, Patricia, Amber, Ashley, Jamie, Ryan, Kristi and Hanna along with many great-grandchildren will also cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne and her brother Glen Ashcraft.

Friends will be received on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services, officiated by Pastor Jimmie Lovejoy, will be held on Friday, December 1, at 11am. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
