

She was born July 11, 1937, in Mannington, West Virginia, to parents Otis and Pearl (Price) Shahan. Shirley was a member of the Gates City Baptist Church in Greensboro and a former member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. Shirley dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons: Michael A. (Jamie) McDonald of Mississippi and Brian E. (Mary) McDonald of New York. Shirley’s memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Keith (Kathy) McDonald, Cory (Charity) McDonald, Mindy (PJ) Toth, Stephanie Burch McDonald, Aaron McDonald, Briana Bennett, Duncan McDonald, Colleen Kelly, Jamon McDonald, and Zak Shultz, as well as her great-grandchildren: Madyson and Sydney McDonald, Lucas Toth, Pierce and Claudia Burch, and Abigail McDonald. Shirley is also survived by her sisters: Leora Moore, Evelyn Phyilliare, and Hilda Ralston, and her brother Don Shahan.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband Clarence William McDonald on October 21, 2012, and her brothers Otis Shahan Jr. and Robert Shahan.
Friends will be received Friday, July 12, 2013, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Lester Bolen and Reverend Mike Popik on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville.
