She was born March 14, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late William R. and Clara (Weiss) Walker. She worked as an office manager with Kent Electric and retired from Portage County Emergency Management in 2004. Shirley’s main passion in life was her dogs. She raised several full size poodles throughout the years. Many of her dogs were show dogs, and Shirley also worked part time as a bookkeeper with Dassin Farms.
Shirley is survived by her sister Beverley (Ed) Kibler, her niece Julie (Kurt) Krueger, her nephew Eric (Paula) Kibler, along with her great nieces and great nephews: Nicholas, Alex, Zach, Andrew, Cameron, Kendall, and Connor, as well as her dear poodles Fancy and Isaac.
