

He was born June 6, 1944 in Highcoal, W.Va., the son of Woodrow and Thelma McConnell Butcher. He retired from Lamson Session after 40 years of service. Bill was also a great carpenter and loved to hunt at his cabin in southern Ohio. He was a loving husband, dad and papaw.
Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann “Albaugh” Butcher. Surviving also are his two sons: William E. Butcher, Jr. and Gregory A. (April) Butcher, both of Ravenna. He also leaves seven grandchildren: Bradley, Nichole, Ryan, Brittany and Joey Butcher, and Eugene & Tiffany George. Also surviving are his brother and sisters: James E. Butcher of Arlington, TX; Joellen Rowe of Powellton, W.Va.; Wanda (Mitchell) Hardister of Aberdeen, N.C.; Woodrow Allen (Marilyn) Butcher of Powellton, W.Va.; Kathy Agent of West Columbia, W.Va.; and Cindy Shrewsberry of Glenjean, W.Va. William will also be sadly missed by many family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 12:00PM until the 2:00PM funeral service at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St. Ravenna, with Pastor Denver Lovejoy officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
