William A. Wharton

William was born in Akron, Ohio on February 6, 1943. William was retired from auto sales and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved fishing at Lake Hodgson and the Akron area and enjoyed working on cars, re-furbishing golf carts and selling them. William was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda Wharton and his children: Tina (Marty) Reynolds, Wendy (Lynn) Durbin, Patti Noel and Jim (Tina) Post. He also leaves 13 grandchildren including very close to him Devin, Paige & Teagan and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Sandi Anderson.

William was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 5:00pm until the 6:00pm memorial service with full military honors at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St, Ravenna.
