

She was born May 15, 1919, in Rootstown, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Clara (Knapp) Biltz. Winnie was a lifelong member of St. Peter of the Fields Parish where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society and St. Mary’s Guild. Mrs. Kaltenbach was the radio dispatcher for many years with the Rootstown Volunteer Fire Department and also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking, reading, and sewing, but most of all, her enjoyment and pride came from her family.
Survivors include her children: Mary Beth (Herman) Prevot of Deerfield, Patricia (Kenneth) Lockney of Uniontown, Ann (Donald) Belacic of Akron, and Joe (Cindy) Kaltenbach of Ravenna; sisters: Isabelle Moore, Betty King, and Shirley Riemenschneider; also survived by her grandchildren: Melissa (Roger) Mansfield, Theresa (Randy) Wilburn, Stephanie (Jack) Arnold, Travis (Jessica) Lockney, Rachel Lockney, John (Melissa) Pope, Nicole and Neil Kaltenbach; and her great-grandchildren: Autumn and Amber Alexander, Brittany and Brandon Arnold, Dakota Mansfield, Emme Pope, and another great-granddaughter is expected soon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Kaltenbach in 1982, also preceded by her brothers Charles and Richard Biltz, her sisters Alma Winkler and Mary Kay Knapp.
Friends will be received Monday, September 27, 2010, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Peter of the Fields Catholic Church, 3487 Old Forge Rd., Rootstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend David Misbrener on Monday at 11:00 AM at. Interment will follow at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery.
