We used to visit her every Easter, and every time she'd have a new story for us. Aunt Rita always had a bag full of surprises to share with us and our cousins. Our Easter celebration will always be a little empty without her presence in the room.

I remember one time in particular, when Mark and I were road tripping to the east coast and just needed a rest break...so we stopped at Rita's house in the late hours of the evening with no prior warning.  She welcomed us inside, fed us hot dogs and faygo and then said goodbye as we continued on our drive.  THAT is Rita.

Everybody should have someone great like Rita in their family.  Added to a great childhood experience growing up for me.  

My only regret was moving so far away that I couldn't see Rita but every few years. My consolation and job now is to cherish her life and carry her memory within for the rest of my life.

Rita was a very loving and generous person.  She gave us all good advice and was always there for us.  She was like a second mom to me.  We love you Rita and know that you are up in heaven dancing with my mom!

Rita was my favorite customer.I was always happy to see her coming. She was such a sweet and wonderful person. I am so sorry for your loss. I feel blessed having known her.

Rita made an interesting and happy adventure of life without ever straying far from home.  The journey brought her joy.  The individual pieces of interacting/making friends during routine life brought her joy.  And the whole package, the entire journey was remarkable, unique.  She was a positive influence for many of us.  I will miss our many conversations, the times of listening to her reminiscing stories, all happily reflecting on people: neighbors, coworkers, friends, family, the mechanics, the doctors, the clerks, the plumber, the yard guy, the postman, the service rep, the nun........all of us.

Love you Rita, God Bless, I know U made it to heaven without getting your tail feathers singed.
