

Andrew “Jake” Lorick, Jr., 68, of Wyomissing, passed away in Penn State Health St. Joseph on Monday, November 16, 2015. He was the loving husband of Deaconess Thomasine A. (Famalaro) Lorick. The couple married in Reading on June 26, 2010.
Born in Reading on September 9, 1947, Jake was a son of the late Andrew, Sr. and Eleanor (Piper) Lorick. He was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School and joined the Air Force on December 7, 1966. He returned from service and was employed as a truck driver for over 30 years before retiring in 2004.
Jake was a member of First Baptist Church of Temple where he was a Deacon in Training and played guitar for a gospel group. He enjoyed fishing, flying model planes and driving his Corvette. Jake loved to ride his Harley and he and his wife were members of the Blue Mountain Hog, Lebanon Chapter.
In addition to his wife, Thomasine; Jake is survived by three sons, Mark Lorick, Andrew Lorick, III and Joseph Famalaro; seven grandchildren and one on the way and several great grandchildren.
Also surviving are his two sisters, Pastor Dorothy and her husband Deacon Tom Ellison and Joan Piper, father in law, John Famalaro; sister in law, Trudy Rhoads and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jake is predeceased by a daughter, LaShonda Lorick and a brother Edward ‘Eddie” Lorick.
A funeral service for Jake will be on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10am in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Friday from 9 to 10am. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading.
