

Arthur Lee Banks II, 75, of Muhlenberg Township, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Born in Reading, PA on January 25, 1949, he was a son to the late Violet (Greene) Banks.
Arthur was a graduate of Reading High School, class of 1967 and was a laborer at various companies throughout his life; including but not limited to Boscov's Distributions and Continental Can Company. He was also a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and Mt. Pleasant Fire Co.
Arthur was a man with diverse interests and talents. His love for photography was evident in the countless snapshots he captured, freezing moments in time with a keen eye for detail. He was also a car enthusiast who found joy in tinkering with cars. Whether under the hood, washing it or behind the wheel, his cars were a source of pride for him.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, he had a remarkable gift for turning mundane moments into memorable ones. Arthur's big heart was evident in the compassion he showed towards others. His generosity knew no bounds, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A man of strong convictions, Arthur was opinionated and stood firmly by his beliefs. His unwavering commitment to his principles was a testament to his strong will and determination. He faced life's challenges with resilience, leaving an indelible mark on those who witnessed his unwavering spirit.
However above all, Arthur found solace and strength in his faith. He possessed a deep connection with his spirituality, and his unwavering belief in Jesus was a guiding light that provided him comfort and purpose throughout his journey.
Arthur leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and resilience. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to have known him. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us remember Arthur for the vibrant and inspiring individual he was—a hard working man with a passion for photography, a love for cars, a funny bone that never dulled, a big heart that embraced all, and a spirit that stood unyielding in the face of life's challenges. May he rest in eternal peace.
Arthur's spirit will be carried on by his daughter Cristal Banks; his 3 grandchildren Kathleen Bourette, Christopher Grillo and Brandon Grillo. He also leaves behind his sister Martha Banks and nephew Brandon Harris to cherish his memory.
In addition to his mother, Arthur was greeted in heaven by his brother Noah Banks and his nephew David Banks.
A celebration of life service for Arthur will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 510 Park Ave., Reading, PA 19611.
