

Arthur Kleinspehn Jr., 98, formerly of Reading, passed December 10, 2016 in his daughter's residence, where he resided for a year and a half, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Cummings) Kleinspehn.
He was born in Reading on March 6, 1918, a son of the late Arthur Sr. and E. Georgene (Wentzel) Kleinspehn.
Art was a 1936 Reading High School graduate and graduated from Wyotech with a chemistry degree. He was employed by the Reading Railroad in the lab, was a kitchen designer for 20 years, and at Wall Rope in Beverly, N.J., in R&D for 10 years.
For 67 years he was a volunteer instructor for American Red Cross in life saving, canoeing and water safety. He had an added interest in archery. In addition to the love of his family, he loved the outdoors especially in boating, swimming, canoeing and water skiing. Arthur was the boat driver for the water skiers for the shows at the Reading Boat Works.
Surviving are his 3 daughters: Barbara E., wife of Frank Clukey of Fleetwood; Dara G. Tkaczynski of Bridgeton, N.J.; June, wife of Frank Nein of Temple; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his 2 brothers.
Services will be Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Wednesday 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Everyone who met him loved him. He will truly be missed by all that had the honor of meeting him.
