Barbara Ann Zabodyn

Born in Reading on October 27, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Merrill Charles, Sr. and Violet Pearl (Sands) Goda. She was employed with the former Western Electric, presently AT&T for over 25 years. Barbara was a lay-out operator and retired in 1993.

She was a member of the Local 1898 IBEW and the Pioneers. Barbara was also a Red Hatter. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and playing with her bird “Daisy”.

In addition to her husband, Kenneth; Barbara is survived by a daughter: Robinn Lynn and her husband, Timothy E. Reidel of Mohnton; two step daughters: Cindy M. Zabodyn of Reading and Tina Marie Wilson of Mohnton; five grandchildren; a brother: Merrill C. Goda, Jr and his wife, Diane (Clark) of Reading; a sister: Merlene Lynn and her husband, Jackie Lee Strunk of Fritztown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara is predeceased by a brother: Robert Allen Goda.

A funeral service for Barbara will be at 10:00am on Monday, July 21, 2014 in Auman’s Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 6 to 8:00pm and on Monday from 9:30am until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 10:00am.
