Beverly Mae Young, 88, of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Ronald G. Young on December 17, 2007 and her daughter, Vicki M. Missimer in May of 2008.
Beverly was born in Reading on July 11, 1936 a daughter of the late Paul R. and Marion R. (Wolf) Jones. Beverly was a 1954 Reading High School graduate. She was proud of being a homemaker and was an accomplished seamstress who many people in Berks County requested for her talent and expertise. Beverly loved to sing and was a member of Horizon Choir, Muhlenberg Choir and a past member and activity director for West Lawn Sr. Citizens Group. She loved cooking, baking and being around any kind of animal.
Beverly is survived by: her brother, Alan P. Jones, Wyomissing; 2 sons: Gary M. Young of Oakland, MD, widower of Connie Young; Chris A.Young, husband of Jean Young, Mohnton; daughter Lisa A. Hughes, Reading; There are 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, as well as many Nieces and Nephews.
A viewing will be Monday February 24, 2025 from 6-8pm and Tuesday February 25, 2025 from 10:30-11:30am in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W Neversink Rd Reiffton with a service on Tuesday at 11:30am. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Sinking Spring or Country Meadows Retirement Community.
