

Born Sept. 10, 1922, in Palo Alto, PA, he was the son of the late Carl C. Faust and Ella C. Dugan-Faust.
He was the widower of Anna R. Fernsler-Faust, who passed on Jan. 26, 1991. They were married 40 years.
He was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having served in the European and Pacific theatres of operation with 262nd Station Hospital, 5th Army.
Carl worked in the extrusion dept. and retired from ALCOA, Cressona plant, after 25 years of service in 1977, where he was a member of Local 405 aluminum workers. He was a life member of West End Hose Co., Pottsville, and attended church at Holy Cross R.C. Church, New Philadelphia.
He is survived by a daughter, Beth Ellen, wife of Michael C. Walters, of Shire-manstown, PA; a son, David C., husband of Karen E. Faust, Blandon, PA; grandchildren, Rebekah E., wife of Shawn S. Nicholson, Camp Hill, PA, and Erik M., husband of Erin M. Walters of Mechanicsburg, PA; a great-granddaughter, Ella Grace Nicholson; a sister, Margaretta C., wife of Daniel P. Snyder Sr., New Philadelphia, PA; and a nephew and nieces.
Services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, Penn Street location. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
