

He is survived by his wife, Betty A (Buchert) Manley.
Born in Reading on Oct. 6, 1951, he was the son of Carl M. Manley Sr., resident of Wyomissing Nursing Center, and the late Jean (Lerch) Manley.
Carl was a Twin Valley High School graduate and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by Community General Hospital for 17 years and then Reading Hospital and Medical Center for 11 years, last working Sept. 7, 2011.
In addition to his wife , he is survived by two daughters, Charleen and her husband Joshua Davis of Bear, DE, and Blanca Colon; grandaughter, Abigale; and faithful companion, his dog Trixie Marie Fatty Fat. Carl was predeceased by his brother, Glenn Manley.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading. A viewing will be Monday, Oct. 17, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday morning 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Theo C.
