Carl M. Manley Sr.

Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Spruce Manor.

He was the loving husband of the late Jean M. (Lerch) Manley. Jean passed away in 1982.

Born in Reading on May 22, 1930, Carl was a son of the late Luther and Mamie (Mitzer) Manley.

He was employed with Reading Body as a welder for 20+ years before

retiring. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing and volunteering in the community for Salvation Army and the Kennedy House.

Surviving is a brother, Robert Manley of Reading; a sister, Arlene Sabatino of Reading, and close friends Flor Burgos and Carmelo Hernandez and their son, Angel Burgos.

Carl is predeceased by two sons, Glenn Manley and Carl M. Manley Jr.; a

brother, Harry Manley; and a sister, Shirley Manley.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on

Monday, September 30, 2013 in Theo C. Auman

Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601.

Family and friends will be

received in the funeral home from 11 to 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery.
