Born in Reading, PA on July 25, 1944, she was a daughter to the late R. Floyd Walley and Martha E.(Borkey) Walley. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her sister Joyce E. Bear.
Darlene's spirit will be carried on by her devoted husband of 57 years, Gerald D. Eisenhower; her son, Timothy Eisenhower, and his wife, Cathy; and her brother, Robert Walley, and his wife Susan.
A woman of quiet strength and deep love, Darlene was of the Lutheran faith. She was a dedicated housewife who found joy in the simple comforts of her home—especially in the kitchen. Her family fondly remembers her as a wonderful cook, with pork chop casserole being one of her husband's favorites. After Gerald suffered a heart attack, Darlene lovingly shifted her cooking to meet his new dietary needs, faithfully preparing low-sodium, low-sugar meals. While Gerald missed the bold flavors of her earlier cooking, he never doubted the care and devotion she poured into every dish.
Darlene had a soft spot for cats and shared her home and heart with many feline companions over the years. Her warmth and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who were blessed enough to have known her. her.
