Deborah “Debbie” Lee Anstine, 71, of Spring Township, passed away on December 18, 2025, at Reading Hospital. Debbie was one of those rare people whose presence made life feel a little lighter, a little easier, and a lot more genuine.
Born in York, PA on April 15, 1954, Debbie was the daughter of the late Roland C. Anstine and Norma Jeane (Einsig) Mylin. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Anstine. From an early age, Debbie carried a sharp mind, an open heart, and a personality that was impossible to overlook.
For 35 years, Debbie dedicated her professional life to ProBerco, where her work ethic and leadership were undeniable. She began her career as a Resident Advisor and steadily rose through the ranks, serving as Supervisor, Associate Director, and ultimately Director. Her career was a reflection of who she was: intelligent, capable, compassionate, and respected. She retired knowing she had truly made a difference.
Outside of work, Debbie lived life on her own terms. She loved yoga, a good mystery book, music that fit her mood (no matter the language), and cooking meals meant to be shared. She believed firmly in self care, whether that meant getting her eyelashes and nails done, enjoying a massage, or floating peacefully in the water. Debbie enjoyed traveling and trips to the shore, and breakfast with her close-knit group of friends was non-negotiable. She also had a deep appreciation for animals of all kinds.
To know Debbie was to know someone who was equal parts free spirit and salt of the earth. She was smart, sassy, deeply empathetic, and refreshingly real. Debbie judged no one, listened without interruption, loved fiercely, and showed up fully for the people in her life. For so many, she was a safe place, someone they could trust, confide in, and simply be themselves with. She had a rare gift for making others feel truly seen, genuinely heard, and completely accepted just as they were.
Debbie’s spirit lives on through her beloved wife, Kelly Espada; her sons, Jared Rohrbaugh and Jason Rohrbaugh; her sisters, Cheryl Criswell and Rainey Hengst and her husband Brad; her granddaughter Lexus Rohrbaugh, along with several grandchildren; and her cherished fur babies, Bentley and Jackson. She will also be fondly remembered by many friends from every walk of life, all of whom are better for having known her.
